FINO Connect is the universal access interface for knowledge bases. While the FINO Knowledge Hub is responsible for creating and managing knowledge bases, FINO Connect ensures that this knowledge is available everywhere - via standardized interfaces like MCP Protocol and REST API, in external applications like MS Teams, and through multi-channel delivery via ChatBot, FormBot, web and apps.

How Does FINO Connect Work?

FINO Connect establishes the connection between knowledge bases and the applications that want to use this knowledge:

  1. Request: An application (e.g., MS Teams Bot, custom app) sends a knowledge request
  2. Routing: FINO Connect routes the request via MCP Protocol to the appropriate knowledge base
  3. Retrieval: Relevant information is retrieved from the Knowledge Hub
  4. Formatting: Results are formatted for the respective channel
  5. Delivery: Response is returned via the chosen channel
